Kansas looked dead in the water.

The excitement of a quick 7-0 lead had quickly vanished into despair for Jayhawks fans at the Superdome in New Orleans. KU had no momentum and lost more at the break (15) than any team to ever win the national championship. The Jayhawks were in bad trouble, lacking layups and could not keep North Carolina away from the offensive glass.
