The men’s tennis takes Georgetown, 4-3

Jake Fellows claimed a commanding 6-1, 6-2 victory on lane two against Rhajzon Rankins.


The Bears responded with a couple of wins on Lane 3 and Lane 1. Nihit Rawal posted a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Adhvyte Sharma, and Mikeal Carpenter followed up with a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 (6) victory over Kieran Foster.


Georgetown ensured the competition would go all the way, starting with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Akira Morgenstern vs. Martial Kawunde on Lane 5. So on Lane 4, Scott Bickel of Georgetown would win Niles Rachal in a back and forth first set to win by a 7 (4) -6, 6-4 margin and draw the overall score.

It shifted focus entirely to Lane 6, where Lopez managed his business and beat the match with an exciting 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 victory over Charlie Suh.



Double (3,1,2)

The Bears got the double point with wins on lanes one and three.



Nihit Rawal and Mikeal Carpenter achieved a 6-3 victory over the pair of Jake Fellows and Kieran Foster.



Niles Rachal and and Rhajzhon Rankins claimed a shutout victory, 6-0, from court three against Scott Bickel and Charlie Suh.

“The team is coming together and we are starting to gain momentum for spring break,” he said Nihit Rawal about the victory. “I’m really looking forward to the MEAC roundup and excited to get similar results there.”
