The Hollidaysburg Area High School boys’ tennis team suffered its first loss with a 3-2 setback to undefeated Fairview at the Summit Tennis and Athletic Club on Friday.

Fairview, who was a PIAA semifinalist last season, won both doubles and No. 3 singles matches in close competitions.

Nathan Barton and Jadd Younes won in No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Golden Tigers, respectively.

Krawcion’s second hit of the game was a three-run homer as she finished the game with five RBIs. Aubrey Ruddek and Jordyn Burkett each scored twice for the Lady Red Devils.

Winning pitcher Kami Kamzik ​​struck out 15, went one and spread five hits to win the Lady Red Devils (4-0). Kamzik ​​also had a solo homerun.

The game has been redesigned

The AAHS Lady Lions StriKeOut Cancer softball match against Hollidaysburg, scheduled for Saturday, was postponed due to the weather. The game was moved to Saturday, April 16 at. 11 at Logan Elementary School.

The game is in honor of family members from both eams who have cancer or who have won their battle against cancer. A balloon release will be held in memory of the family members who have lost the battle against cancer.

There will be raffle baskets, 50-50 ticket sales and JUST CURE IT tshirts for sale, as well as a full concession stand. A survivor will be chosen to throw out the game’s first lane.
